Ravensdown, a spacious Edwardian house built in the early 1900’s, now a friendly and stylish four star guest house run by David (Scottish) and Yoka (Dutch) offering quality bed and breakfast accommodation in central Edinburgh. We are continually working to restore and refurbish the house, creating a contemporary touch and style.

Ravensdown has spectacular views of the city skyline, Edinburgh castle and Arthur’s Seat. Situated on Ferry Road on the north side of the ancient city, 5 minutes walk to the Royal Botanic Garden, within easy access to the port of Leith and Ocean Terminal, the Royal Yacht Britannia, Canonmills, Broughton, Stockbridge, Fettes College, Western General Hospital and Warriston.

Ravensdown guest house has seven spacious guest bedrooms. The front bedrooms of Ravensdown offer fantastic panoramic views of the city including Carlton Hill, Goldenacre and Edinburgh Castle.

All bedrooms offered are en suite ranging from single, double, king, twin, triple (3 single beds) and family rooms all with large comfortable beds, most are 2 metre long beds without footboards for our taller guests. All bedrooms have an LCD TV, alarm clocks and a docking station along with tea and coffee making facilities. Irons and hairdryers are available on request and wireless internet is available in all rooms, in fact throughout the building.

Breakfast is very relaxed at Ravensdown and a range of breakfasts are available, including a continental buffet: juice, cereals, fruit, bread, cheese and yoghurt, as well as a traditional Scottish breakfast; eggs, sausages, smoked bacon, tomato, and mushrooms. A vegetarian breakfast option is also available or even a simple but fantastically scrumptious bowl of porridge. If you or any of your party has any dietary requirements, please advise in advance so that your requirements can be accommodated.

Ravensdown guest house is situated close to the lively pubs, bars and restaurants of Broughton and Cannonmills, as well as only being 5 minutes walk from the beautiful botanic garden.
